HISTORY
Talk of forming the Oregon Maple Syrup Products Association began in 2022 between producers. A few producers began attending the international North American Maple Syrup Association annual meetings to learn from other producer states and the national association about the benefits, structure, and management of a producer association. We received encouragement to join and helpful advice on the steps to take. We opted for 501(c)(6) our tax exempt status because our primary mission is to promote the business interests of our membership.
